MT. CLEMENS (WWJ) - A 24-year-old woman is facing felony assault charges after she allegedly bit and attacked the owners of a Chinese restaurant in Mt. Clemens.

Jade Anderson of Mt. Clemens was arrested at the scene following the incident at around 9:40 p.m. Thursday, at China 1 on Cass Ave. near Groesbeck.

In a 911 call released by the Macomb County Sheriff's Office, a young boy pleads for help, saying that a woman is hitting his mother -- while screaming is heard in the background. The boy tells the dispatcher that he's scared, and his mom is hurt.

Responding deputies arrived to find two injured people: a man whose ear had been partially bitten off, officials said, and a woman with a large bump on her forehead.

An investigation found that Anderson had entered into the restaurant and began to complain to the restaurant owners, a husband and wife, about the order she'd received.  Due to a language barrier, the victims' young son translated what Anderson was saying.

At some point during the discussion, Anderson allegedly pushed the boy and threw her food onto the floor.

That's when Anderson began to assault the female victim, according to investigators; and when the husband stepped in to protect his wife, Anderson allegedly began striking him as well.

As Anderson was pushed out of the store, she bit the man on the ear detaching part of it, the sheriff's office said. The man was taken to a local hospital, and his wife was treated at the scene.

Following Anderson's arrest, deputies learned that Anderson had a small child at her home unsupervised. The child, who was unharmed, has been since been turned over to "a responsible adult."

Anderson was arraigned in 41B District Court Friday on one count of Assault With Intent to Maim, a 10 year felony, and one count of Assault or Assault and Battery, a 93 day misdemeanor. She remains held in the Macomb County Jail on a $20,000 cash/surety bond with her next court appearance scheduled for July 11.
