The two people in that car -- a 35-year-old woman and her 28-year-old female passenger, both Detroit residents -- were taken to a local hospital where they later died.

Wayne County Prosecutor  Kym Worthy has charged Blanding with two counts each of Second Degree Murder, Operating While Under the Influence Causing Death and Reckless Driving-Death Resulting. She is also charged with one count each of Operating While Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a High Blood Alcohol Level and Driver- Open Intoxicant in a Motor Vehicle.

Blanding was arraigned in 36th District Court Tuesday. She is due back in court for a probable cause conference on May 18.
