Woman With Dementia Goes Missing On Detroit's West Side

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are asking the public for help locating a missing woman who suffers from dementia.

Police say Shirley Jones was last seen around 11 a.m. Wednesday at her home in the 16000 block of Snowden, near Schaefer Highway and Puritan Avenue on the city's west side.

Jones' son told police he saw his mother before he left for work. Her sister then arrived at the home around 2:15 p.m. and noticed that Jones and her beige 2006 Chevy Cobalt were gone. She has not been seen, or heard from since.

Jones is described as a 76-year-old black female. She is said to be in good physical condition but suffers from dementia. A physical/clothing description was not provided.
