Police: Woman With Dementia Missing In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are asking for help locating a missing woman who suffers from dementia.

Cheryl Harris, was last seen by relatives on Thursday, Feb. 14 around 3:00 p.m. on the city's west side. She left her residence in the 8000 block of Cloverlawn, near Tireman and Wyoming avenues, and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Harris is described as a 56-year-old black female with a light complexion, 5'2" tall with a slim build and long brown and black braids. She was last seen wearing a silver/gray puffy winter jacket, light blue jeans, a black t-shirt and orange/brown boots.

Anyone who has seen Harris or knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact Detroit Police's 2nd Precinct at 313-596-5240 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

Earlier, authorities were also looking for tips to find a second missing dementia patient, 70-year-old Richard Perkins III. Police issued an update on Sunday saying Perkins was located.
