WARREN (WWJ) - A woman wanted in a deadly hit-and-run crash in Warren has surrendered to police in Georgia after being at large for nearly a month.

Officials say 36-year-old Valerie Ann Bostle of St. Clair Shores turned herself in to police in Decatur, just east of Atlanta, and will be brought back to Macomb County to face three felony charges, including manslaughter.

According to Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer, Bostle hit 55-year-old Peter Chisholm on June 5 as he was trying to cross Schoenherr Rd. near Julius St., north of 9 Mile, and then dragged him for about a mile under her car.

Eventually, Dwyer said, Chisholm was struck by a second driver who stopped and called for help.

Dwyer said Bostle cut and colored her hair before fleeing with her 3-year-old daughter on June 12 and taking a bus to Georgia.
