Stephanie Davis

Reporter/Weekend Anchor

Stephanie is a proud Detroit native. She attended Bethune-Cookman College, a historically black college in Daytona Beach, Florida. She earned a Master’s Degree in Communications on scholarship from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. Stephanie’s radio broadcasting career started in 1993 at WQBH 1400AM in Detroit under the late, legendary Martha Jean “the Queen” Steinberg. She started out reporting, then producing and ultimately becoming the News/Talk Director. The department mastered “community news.” She also worked with the Detroit Board of Education as a Media Specialist and later with the district’s radio station, WDTR 90.9FM, training students, reporting news and just having fun as part of the morning drive show. Stephanie joined WWJ Newsradio 950 in 2002 as a writer/producer and soon after became a full-time reporter/anchor. Stephanie is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Detroit Chapter and is chaplain of the Bethune Cookman University Detroit Alumni chapter. Stephanie is a born-again Christian who enjoys studying the Bible, bike riding and reading.
